Based off of an idea from the indispensable Idolator, let's do this for the weekend.Out down your favorite album for every year that you were born. Yes, you'll figure out how damn young I am.

1999: Built to Spill: Keep it Like a Secret (yeah I like BTS, a lot)
2000: Modest Mouse: The Moon and Antartica
2001:Radiohead: Amensiac
2002: N.E.R.D.-In Search Of...
2003: Bear Vs Shark: Right Now, You're in the Best of Hands. And If Something Isn't Quite Right, Your Doctor Will Know in a Hurry
2004: Kanye West: The College Dropout

So. The 90s as whole were hard for me to do, since I didn't really start getting into music until about middle school (late nineties). 1995 was especially hard, sicne I'm not that big on the Bends. 2004 was the hardest year. I had to choose between Ye's debut (still my favorite of his), Interpol's Antics, and Funeral by the Arcade Fire. Damn. And yes, I stand by the Bear Vs Shark decision.

My Trusted MOGs
Geez, I was out of high school when you were born. At least you didn't wait until three weeks from now, right after my birthday, when I'll have to be kept from all sharp objects anyway.
I'll get on this, and then you'll see how ancient I am.
My Trusted MOGs
Well, my parents had me young. Whatever that means.
My Trusted MOGs
jeez, I'm tempted to try this, but I think it would take me a really long time (even though I only have 2 more years than you). I wasn't into music until high school also, so my knowledge of albums pre-2000 is sadly limited.
My Trusted MOGs
Well, here's a way to help that. If you use iTunes, go to File>New Smart Playlist, and do Year Is , and pick the year you need. On a side note, it frightens me that people our age are running the world.
My Trusted MOGs
hahaha, that is a scary thought. I can barely run my own life, so no one my age should be trusted with the world ;)
My Trusted MOGs
I'm crying crocodile tears for both of you. :P
BTW, the original Idolator article mentions that Wiki has a handy list of albums released by year. Handy for those years when you weren't totally musically aware, as well as a nice potential shopping list. I'm using it to fill in the 1970's. :::sigh:::
My Trusted MOGs
hehe, thanks for the tip Dale. I'm headed to wiki now to start with 1986 ;)
My Trusted MOGs
@deg: I run the business operations of a radio station, so I'm halfway there.
@ Dale: I have a hard time understanding aging. Wiki does have a list, but it's not as full as I'd like it to be.
My Trusted MOGs
True Heath, but it's a start. A jumping-off point, if you will.
My Trusted MOGs
Yeah, it did help me a little.
My Trusted MOGs
I've been alive too long to even attempt that- it would take days to complete that many years! LOL
My Trusted MOGs
gezz, you were born and I was a freshman in high school, I can say though that at the time I did own the sonic youth album
My Trusted MOGs
Funny thing about that album: this guy in my math class told me I would like the album. I really fucking dug Pixies at the time (still do), and I just kinda forgot about it. I got into it in the past few years, actually. This guy also liked Animal Collective, and I thought "what the fuck who puts sheep on an album". I can't wait to see Animal Collective live in Chicago now.
My Trusted MOGs
I got the sonic youth album from a secret santa at school. Had not listened to them before that, but it still stands as one of the best secret santa gifts I ever got
My Trusted MOGs
sounds like it. I've had like one secret santa gift in my life, and it was a flask. I don't drink.
My Trusted MOGs

My Trusted MOGs
hah, I feel the same way about those same eras.
