MOG MOG

WHERE MUSIC IS WORTH MORE THAN MONEY

(25)

summary An Andrew Birdian pop lament that's over too soon - much like the tragically short life of the lead singer's son that inspired it.

from Cloud Cult's latest album.

i've been hearing so much about cloud cult on MOG i just wiki-ed them. it seems like a very eco-friendly indie outfit. i love the classical music (string section) elements.

they very much are...I saw one of their shows and one of the guys from their tour mentioned how they plant a tree for every mile they travel (or something like that).

I would normally shun any band or artists with a strong political agenda (art for art's I say) but pizzicati have always been a favourite technique of mine though I wouldn't know what string to pluck...

Thanks for the intro.

Bartleby,

I completely agree...I love the rainforest as much as the next guy, but I'd rather my music not be the spoonful of sugar that helps the medicine go down.

However, I have to make an exception for cloud cult...they're just too good (their last album was one of my top five...infact, i'm gonna post one of the best from their last album here in a few minutes)
