One of my favorite Portishead remixes, this mudflap mix is basically just a guitar and Beth Gibbons voice. Incredible. Nothing else much to say except, press play and turn it up.

For me the question is rather rethoric. It certainly can and does. But many men are tendentially put off by dark female voices, at least that is my personal experience. I feel a bit like a outsider with the opposite opinion. The voice of Asia Argento on the feature track for example gives me goose bumps. Her voice is pure sex to me.
