Yes, MOGsters, your world music, electronic, hip-hop Thursday and funky friday maven, jazz fan, and all around unhipster went to see what was once the world's biggest corporate rock band: Van Halen, in its modified original format - Alex and Eddie Van Halen, David Lee Roth, and Eddie's 16-year-old son Wolfgang replacing the disgruntled still-drinking Michael Anthony on bass. My husband Richard, the most patient and unassuming man in the universe (he of the "what the hell... MORE

More than a month ago Roth was driving his car in Oakland, Ontario (somewhere between Detroit and Toronto) when two cops pulled him over. When they got to his car they realized Roth was suffering a severe reaction to peanuts after he had eaten a contaminated source. (Mr.Roth...... MORE

While Van Halen is most known for the guitar virtuosity/pyrotechnics of Eddie Van Hallen, but I think this track will rove that ol' Diamond Dave had the chops to put a voice to that guitar. Hell if it wasn't for Diamond... MORE

I'm going to dodge all the current controversy . . . you can go elsewhere for that if you want. Recently, I went on vacation. A real vacation, away from work and away from home for an entire week. This is something I haven't done in quite a while. My friend Nathan was nice enough to let me stay with him in Orlando (aka Fantasyland). Now, Nathan and I have been friends for about a year or so. But since we get along so well I often feel like I've known him forever therefore, I expect to know and understand most of my quirks. This is wrong of me as you shall see. ... MORE
