Lake of the Stars is an annual music festival in Malawi and there will be a launch party in London to kick it off. The London party takes place at Unit 7 on Saturday May 24th and proceeds will fund the music festival in Malawi - "the warm heart of Africa" - on Oc... MORE

Today, I bought something from iTunes for the very first time, even though I don't own an iPod.
You see, I received an e-mail letting me know that The Chemical Brothers released the collection B-Sides Volume 1 exclusively on iTunes. As a longtime fan of the duo, I definitely wanted to hear it. I found it on iTunes and discovered that it was in iTunes Plus format, meaning that I didn't need an iPod to play it.

In my double-life as a jet-setting music enthusiast, I would definitely be in London (again, London... sigh.) 6 and 7 and 9 September to enjoy two different audio-visual sensory-immersive events at the ICA. On Thursday the 6th, Matthew Herbert will provide the audio for Joji Koyama's video, Alexis Taylor (Hot Chip) will be paired with Brian Degraw (Gang Gang Dance), and Max Hattler will show his films to Economy Wolf's soundtrack.

The collaborations on We Are The Night are among the album's strongest. The one that stands above the rest is “All Rights Reversed,” which features The Klaxons. Haunting background vocals and a clattery beat help make it one of the best tracks on the album. Midlake's Tim Smith provides... MORE
Normally, I try not to post any songs from an album I'm going to review until, well, I review it. However, there is a track on The Chemical Brothers' new album, We Are The Night, that I had to post.
It's a track called “The Salmon Dance” and it features Fatlip of The Pharcyde.
All I will say is that yes, this is a Chemical Brothers track and yes, it is actually on the album. I say this because after listening to it, you might not believe me.
P.S.: I actually... MORE
