Hi everyone! Sorry that I've not been posting much, but new responsibilities at work have managed to suck away the spare time it takes me to think of things to say. You know, because you guys deserve to not have to read something tossed-off, just so I can say that I posted something.

Last night’s Black Angels show was one of the best shows I’ve seen in a long time. You’d be hard pressed to find a better psychedelic rock band today. And don’t be quick to dismiss them as Black Rebel Motorcycle Club on a few more hits, because The Black Angels are in a class of their own, giving life to a genre that has been fairly underground for years. Don't have the usual time to put into a review, and there's plenty of good stuff already on MOG about them, but _DAMN_ The Black Angels are good!!! This is the best album I've heard in a long, long time. Amazing talent going on here, from the lyrics to the vocals to the guitar to the arranging, this is real from-the-gut artistry. If you don't feel somehow changed by this music, you have no soul!... MORE

There's this album that I've got tied really tight to my memory. The first memory is coming home late one night with a bunch of friends after a night out. Buzzed, happy I got a ride home, and very tired, the music was perfect. In the darkened car, we sat, each pondering the locked up homes and stores we passed.

The Psycadelic of Yesteryear met with the Psychadelic of today when Blue Cheer and The Black Angels played together last night at Emo's indoors (ahhhhhhh, air conditioning). The Angels played a short set with a few songs that are not on their Light In The Attic debut, Passover. They added a second drummer for some songs( A la The Warlocks) and a harmonica player on another. Well, onto the actual music. I've got references to The Black Angels sprinked all over the place so how about an actual album review? The Black Angel's released their debut album Passover and, well, it is well on it's way to be my 2006 Album of the Year.
