Since Frost's been talking about Soulja Boy and Everywoman expressed her love and distaste for certain music, I wanted to post a song that kinda addresses both issues. In MrFrost's posts, there have been discussion about why vets (Ice-T mostly) feel the need to blame Soulja Boy for the fall of the industry, whether or not their in the right, and the real pitfalls for Hip Hop. Imeverywoman posted a general statement about how she respects, but doesn't necessarily like (... MORE
Although it's a little depressing, this is a great song. I'm glad Talib is still making visuals for "Ear Drum" even though the album fell off of the charts long ago. He and Lupe Fiasco have been really good about making videos for fan-favorite tracks on their albums. check the lyrics... My rhymes got nutritional value

Exclusive new video from LOUD.com for the track The Perfect Beat from Talib Kweli’s 2007 LP Eardrum. The video features the legendary KRS-ONE and the footage was recorded during a recent performance at the Shrine Auditorium in LA. It’s a banger of a track from Talib Kweli and it has a hint of that old [...]

Third single off of Talib's Eardrum album. Hostile Gospel takes place in Africa.. it's definitely worth a look.
Busting out the big guns for this edition of Hip-Hop Thursday... usually for songs that I love as is, I don't love the remixes, especially the ones that featuring a ton of different artists. This is an exception. They keep the original classic beat from the song and some of the better known hip-hop acts are featured... And a really cool video featuring Dave Chappelle/De La Soul, etc on some of the "behind the scenes" stuff from the making of Talib's & Hi-Tek's classic ... MORE
This song served as my intro to Talib Kweli. I've been searching him out on MOG and the more I hear the more I like. Love the chorus and the verses and the snaps and the keys and the little flutey thing goin on. This is catchy as the common cold.

I know I'm probably the last person to see this video, but I just caught it for the first time this morning. I think they did a great job.
This one's hot of the presses, maybe it's not completely finished because Warner is aggressively taking it down all over the internet. In any event, the song is called Hot Thang and the video completely rips off the Motion Theory styled ads (you might have seen them in HP commercials). Talib's new album Ear Drum hits shelves August 21st.

Just heard this remix. This was one of the weaker songs on the album, in my opinion, but I like the remix.
In addition to Kweli and Mos, Dead Prez, DJ D-Nice, and Saigon will be rocking the crowd on August 26th. “We’ve been big supporters of Black August since it first star... MORE
