Judging from the postings of my favorite music blogs and sites, a press release went out already announcing Snow Patrol's next album "A Hundred Million Suns". However, keen fans should know the first place to look is not the site, but rather the most recent postings by Mr. Gary Lightbody on the SP.com forum, should he remember to do so (hell, he's got a Mog account and that's been dead for awhile). Anyway, lo and behold the tracklisting of the new album is:

Super-sensitive British rockers, Snow Patrol, have just announced the US release date for their 5th studio album. A Hundred Million Suns will hit American soil on October 28. The album which was recorded both in Berlin and Ireland is the follow-up to the 7 times platinum Eyes Open. The album features the single "Take Back the City", the video of which will be directed by Alex Courtes (White Stripe's "Seven-Nation Army). Stick around for tour info.
I caught Snow Patrol's live concert over the weekend on HDTV. These Scottish rockers can put on one helluva show.
As a sort of greeting, I wanted to post Chasing Cars. Some of you have probably heard this song, as it's our best-selling single from Eyes Open. I know it'll be new to many of you, though. This is the most pure and open love song I've ever written...I hope it will mean something to you. Thanks for listening.
Convened in Dingle on the west coast of Ireland. Drummer Jonny knew the area well and convinced the band the remote cottage once used by Kate Bush would best channel the Snow Patrol spirit. I read meaning into everything. And yes, the studio was on a cliff edge with the sea crashing just beneath. And it was from these early writing sessions that ‘Eyes Open’ began it’s journey to completion, via recording sessions in Kent and Grouse Lodge, Ireland.
Almost 1 month i stay in Cambodia. My daily life go by struggling. I work 6 days a week...only Sunday for relaxing. Look like I should not have time missing home but it was not be like that. A good feeling never crossed my mind. There was nothing in there. I feel like Tom Hanks in Cast Away...Really Lost..Nowhere to go...Drowning..Waiting for signal fire.
My sister used this as her wedding song...It was awsome music to set a great mood on the coast of Ireland. If you have not checked out these guys, I highly reccomend. Im normally a Trance kinda guy, but this is one band I love to listen to!
I enjoy Snow Patrol, though they are not one of my favorite artists. When I was downloading some of their music, I came upon a song that I haven't heard before but I really enjoyed it. Here it is.
Can I just say, I wish more people would read my posts and decide, "Hey! Mimi likes this? I should send her a mix of that." Cause music in the mail is just about the best thing ever. Cash is always acceptable, but music is the best.
to be a really nice guy ok?

will you lie with me?

i don't think i can keep it up much longer though
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY
I wasn't aware there was a video for this song - its been on repeat in my brain for days....
Love the name check.
In some of the earlier songs, Snow Patrol seems to have some difficulty maintaining the “variation” requirement for a good song. “Headlights On Dark Roads,” however, meets the requirements. It makes the cut. This is a song that I could listen to over and over again. The “Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-oh-oh” lyrics come under scrutiny by some, but after listening to a great deal of U2, I like it.
