Looking back, to my proggier more introspective phases of music fandom, I end up at the place that I really started.. Queensrÿche... the so called thinking man's Heavy Metal. Listening back now, I hear how over produced the music was, and also how long it took to get to the point of their songs. Not that it's all that bad, but hey, I haven't got the time to waste like I did when I was 17....... anyway, listening back I do here all the places that they were right about th... MORE
I wore the shit out of this album. I miss albums. Bigass covers. Artwork. Big piece of vinyl stamped into a huge disc. "be careful with that!!" Shit.
I say we ditch cd's and go back to vinyl. That shit rocked.
rock opera type album from an awesome heavy rock band. Cool song. Probably a big reason why I have holes in my eardrums:
People used to bag on Goeff Tate for being too operatic. I loved that shit.
I AM LIVING FOR QUEENSRYCHE Operation Mindcrime 1 & 2 LIVE I can't believe such an awesome experience this must be. I saw OM:1 live a coupla years ago. I'm ready for QR to come to Houston in September! This promises to be a great concert!
Anyone out there wanna throw an album party? :)

But, the Zune is coming out in a month of so, we may have a competitor, everybody says. But here's my opinion - if you say it's a competitor, it's not. The only thing that's gonna dislodge the iPod from it's throne is something better, and not so overhyped that anyone who buys it ... MORE
Being an astute observer of humans and social groups I have, probably relatively late, come to the conclusion that we are seeing several growing pains and interesting phenomenon unique to MOG growing up. 1) Death Cab For Cutie - has created the MOG-nomenom of swaming where a bunch of people join MOG in the hopes of (perhaps vainly) interacting with their musical heroes. Swarming temporarily will change the face of MOG, but in the end "Resistance is Futile" and MOG will... MORE
