i can always remember what i was doing the moment i saw this video. takes a special kind of song to do that, i think.
I think I've played Tricycle a thousand times over the past few days. I love that song. Psapp makes some good driving music. I never want to get out of the car when I have that album in. I even put Tricycle on my latest Christmas mix (which is only half xmas songs, but oh well).

mmmm i have today off. today is the day i get my new piece. i am thinking about a bubbler, but i want to see what they have first.
so, yesterday, i got my paycheck. and in an absolute fit of downloading-guilt, i went to volume. volume's my favorite record store in the area, i've been coming since i was about 10 - the owner's different now, but he's cool and actually about my age, which i think is great. if i had any balls at all, i'd say fuck school and open a recor... Just about every description I've read of this band tags them as "kooky" or "zany" or even labels them as a "novelty band." Perhaps my tolerance for these adjectives is lower than average, but I'm just not buying into it. Sure, there are a few out-there sound choices and production techniques, but Weird Al they're not. I regard Psapp's approach as creative rather than jokey. I mean, come on, the Radiohead discs of recent years are also full of whirrs and clicks and bleepy... MORE
