Plain White T's is a pop-rock band based in Villa Park, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. The members are Tom Higgenson (vocals), Dave Tirio (guitar), Mike Retondo (bass and vocals), De'Mar Hamilton (drums), and Tim Lopez (guitar, vocals). Their original lineup consisted of Tom, Dave, Steve Mast (guitar and vocals), and Ken Fletcher (bass). Alright, I know that this site is for the "blogging" of music but I'm writing this post completely disregarding music. I have to wear business casual during the week and I can't show off my secret rock star self. I usually wear a music-related pin like "Much Loud," "Kerrang," or "The Specials" man. It is the rare soul at work who recognizes any of them. But maybe that's because it would be inappropriate to get six inches from my chest to read them.

This band suprised me with this song. It's excellent. The lyrics are great, extremely simple arrangment (just a guy and a guitar) and well sung. I can't seem to listen to it enough times. Ironically, I don't love any this bands other music. At least the rest that I have listened to thus far. They are normally kind of like pop-punk. Just doesn't grab me for some reason. What a fantastic song. I just discovered this song via this fab MOG website. Does anyone else know similar songs to this? I'm all about using a play on words ( Get it??? Music + Blog=Mog) and silly metaphors, so I could really get used to this mogging thing. Does hearing a particular song make you crave other songs like it? I'm stuck on Hey There Delilah lately and can't seem to get enough acoustic to satisfy my singing-in-the-car habit. Any recommendations for this acoustic junky?
