Paul McCartney has expressed his disappointment at Led Zeppelin's decision to reunite without frontman Robert Plant.
The Kashmir hitmakers announced last month that they plan to hit the road in 2009 without Plant, who has opted out of the reunion shows.
The remaining members of Zeppelin, Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones and the late John Bonham's son, Jason, are now auditioning singers to take over vocals.

The first few seconds of Paul McCartney's upcoming single "Ever Present Past" brought to mind the opening to The Bob Crewe Generation's "Music To Watch Girls By". Very sixties. Paul always has cool song titles from "Helter Skelter" and "Fool On The Hill" to in your face titles like "Why Don't We Do It In The Road" and "Here Today". They're almost always poetic in title alone.

I paid for Paul McCartney's Memory Almost Full. Why? Because every time I walked into Starbucks I was accosted by that "Ever Present Past"'s ididadoodah and it sounded good. So, yeah, I'm a little P.O.ed that the folks in London will able to pick up the May 18th edition of the Mail On Sunday, a UK version of The New York Post, and whip out the album for FREE. When Billy Joel performed the last concert ever at New York's Shea Stadium on July 18th, he brought a special guest. The Beatles' Paul McCartney wowed the crowd with Beatles tracks 'I Saw Her Standing There' and 'Let It Be'. Paul's outdoor performance Monday night in front of tens of thousands in the Ukranian capital of Kiev was nothing short of amazing.
