Morcheeba

Well, I just went out and picked up the new Morcheeba at the local record store(yes I am old school like that). Anyone who is a fan of the previous Morcheeba albums because of the awesome voice of Skye Edwards might be somewhat disappointed. This album, unlike most previous works uses pretty much a different singer on each song. The result is great, albeit it is not the same as previous efforts. Dive Deep, Morcheeba's follow-up to 2005's The Antidote is out on Ultra Records February 5th, 2008. Morcheeba are about to release their newest album Dive Deep, their sixth album to date. The physical album from Ultra Records won't hit the shelves until February 19th, but iTunes will be selling the digital album starting February 5th. When I was young (did I really type that?), I used to fall asleep listening to music. I don't usually do that anymore 'cause I tend to get a bit hyper, sing along, play air guitar etc.; in a nutshell, it gets ugly ;) I do still remember the songs that I used to listen to back in the day though, and if it's true that you absorb sounds during sleep, chances are I'm never going to forget them. I forgot the track title

My last post had a track form Moloko titled "Party Weirdo". In comments soulrocket posted this; Music press in the UK labeled them as the new Morcheeba back then (how imaginative!)... they proved them wrong after a couple of albums. He was dead on with his comment. Moloko has evolved into something different and has indeed surpassed Morcheeba's sound.
