I've never been bowled over by this song, neither by the original nor by the various covers I've heard in my short time on MOG, but hearing this version Friday night in the context of the others, this one won me over.

Listening to the original in the wee hours last night I thought, damn these mothers are laying down some bad-A$$ed funk on the instrumental breaks. The Indigo Girls don't exactly break the bank on this one, but it's a pretty nice cover in any case. And I do really like those scraping violins.

Being the partner and home office-sharer with a MOG-postin' maniac, often leaves me feeling, dare I say, inadequate in the mogging realm. In response to comments from an Indigo Girls uber-fan who was a bit weirded out that they didn't completely embrace the new album, but instead really only dug one song at the moment: I'm eager to hear their new one. My thursday morning sound tracks: New tunes by both the Indigo Girls and Barenaked Ladies. What is this, high school? Can I get some Ben Harper? Barenaked Ladies.. hmmm..
