I had been hearing "We All Float & "Love Me To Death" several times on Radioparadise.com over the last year and I said, I have to get that CD. They both come from a CD that I believe was only released in the U.K. I manage to find it on half.com for $8.00 so, it's now mine. Great CD, Liesje Sadonius reminds me so much of Renaissance's Annie Haslem. Both beautiful singers.... MORE

" Hooverphonic is a Belgian rock/pop group from Flanders, formed in 1995. Though early on categorized as a trip hop group, they quickly expanded their sound to the point where they could no longer be pigeonholed into one genre".
It's very hard to pick songs to introduce a band you've been following around since 1996. Do excuse the many vids here. It would be good if you found the time to check them out.

On Tuesday, I posted a song by Yoko Kanno called "Cyberbird" and hinted that the song was inspired by another song. Well, now it's time to reveal that song.
The song is called "Battersea" by the group Hooverphonic. I had discovered the group and bought their album Blue Wonder Power Milk only weeks before I heard "Cyberbird" and realized how similar the two sounded.
"Cyberbird" isn't a direct ripoff, but when you listen to both songs, you can hear the similarities.... MORE
