It's been awhile since I reported that Elephant Man has a new tune called "Nuh Linga." It's not on his new album Let's Get Physical; Ele told me about the tune when we spoke in March. Today he sent out the link to a new video for "Nuh Linga" and, naturally, it shows how to Nuh Linga on di dancefloor!

Diddy signed Elephant Man to release this album on Bad Boy Records over a year ago, but the release date was delayed a few times. It's finally here and it's pure FIYAH! As the title and album cover suggest, the music is super-active and upbeat: the ideal soundtrack for an aerobics workout, dancehall-style. In fact, Elephant Man fully embraced this theme with a series of workout videos released over the last few months. Dubbed “Dancehall Gym,” they feature a somewhat out o... MORE
When I spoke with Elephant Man last week, he hinted at 2 new tunes he recorded recently. "Nuh Linga" and "Calm Dem Down" are so fresh, they aren't even on his brand new album! "Nuh Linga" - like many of Ele's tunes - also names a dance step that's big inna di dancehall parties in Jamaica. I had no trouble finding both the audio and the dance on youTube:

Elephant Man's new album isn't released until next week, yet we have another new video from it. This is "Our World" featuring Demarco:
I like that he's wearing Beetlejuice striped pants when he's in the graveyard... Who can guess what's being censored out when the audio gets swerved?... MORE
I've always liked Elephant Man. His style is bold and totally unique while his music is upbeat and fun. He is part gangsta rapper and part dancehall raver. His roots in the dancehall community run deep and as such, his music is full of commentary on the current situation in Jamaica and the Jamaican community living in NYC. Ele is also a big promoter of the different dancehall dances, the moves associated with each riddim, and he always sports the latest moves at his conce... MORE
Elephant Man set the dancehalls on FIYAH with his new video and new dance moves in "Gully Creepa"! The song is off Let's Get Physical and the video was directed by Julia Braham. Elephant Man told the Observer, “We just release the video and it bad . we have the dance lock and throw way di key.”

Feeling lazy or just low-energy? Well, Elephant Man has the cure! The "Energy God" himself wants to Pump You Up! He's created an exercise video comprised of the hottest dancehall steps, so not only do you get a workout, you also get an education. Next time your in your fave local dancehall, you'll know just what to do when the deejay calls out "Fan Dem Off," "Skoobay," "Willie Bounce" or "Summer Bounce." Ele wants to make sure everyone on the dancefloor is in great shap... MORE
Elephant Man may be a rude boy, but he sure knows the right ladies to work with. He recently recorded the NYC-dancehall song "Whine Up" with Kat DeLuna, he recently added his remix of Rhianna's "Umbrella" to his music$pace page, and he worked with Rhianna on his own upcoming album Let's Get Physical. The album will be released on Combs' Bad Boy Entertainment label on November 2nd. But, of course, you don't have to wait that long to listen to some of it. The video for the ... MORE
