Hi all. I had come across this vid a while back, but since I'm in a bit of a EoDM mood today, I think I'll throw it out there for y'all. It's from the VMA party earlier this year and features Dave Grohl alongside Señors Hughes and Homme performing "Speaking in Tongues". Enjoy.... MORE
What does it take to set your soul on fire?
How much can you be pushed before you push back?
STAND UP! WE ARE PASSIONATE as people
STAND UP if your soul's on fire!
Gog dang it's been a while since I've been on my MOG.
So my friend and I have decided that instead of doing the usual schoolies thing of hanging out somewhere by the beach during schoolies week, we'd hang out in Melbourne with each other plus people that can't make it out of here. Then for the few days before New Years, we'd go chill out at FALLS FESTIVAL!!!
Yay! That means camping out and seeing awesome bands. Sucks that I can't go and check out King of Leon this ... MORE
I need to pay more attention to the Eagles Of Death Metal.

I will have to dedicate this to one of my favorite moggers....and the mogger I have known the longest...Viva La Brit...I wish I had something profound or deep to say....but alas, I drank too much! But still...I spoke to her for the first time tonight...and she is just as intelligent, and just as sarcastic in real life as she is via the internet!!!
So this song is for her....... MORE
Well...I am finally getting around to MOG about the Eagles of Death Metal concert from Thursday in Stuttgart at the LKA Longhorn. The Longhorn (http://www.lka-longhorn.de) is a very fun venue here in Stuttgart...your basic Rock Hall...Great crowd, although I did manage to get a fair amount of beer spilled...it was all good. As you can imagine, EODM Rocked!!!! Boots was really great...it is hard to think of a better listening experience..EODM is fun to listen in the car, and... MORE
So, one of my favorite bands over the past year has been Eagles of Death Metal. I've seen 'em 3 times this year and had a blast at each one. If you haven't heard of EoDM, they're one of the grooviest, boodie shakinest rock acts out there right now. Not to mention, they're a really nice, approachable group of guys who are all about having a good time and making people happy. In the last few years they have toured on their own, as well as opening for the likes of The Foo Fight... MORE
Buddyhead.com's (and Nine Inch Nails guitarist) Aaron North interviews Jesse Hughes to set the record straight on the Axl Rose brouhaha.
This is a fantastic press release from The Eagles after Axl fucked up and threw them off the tour. His inferiority complex is something only large volumes of Psych Text books could possibly comprhend or make me care.
What other great Press qoutes from Musicians are out there?
Eagles of Death Metal's run as openers for fifteen dates on the current Guns N' Roses tour came to an abrupt, ugly, and sort of confusing end Friday. Following Sebastian Bach's requisite set, E... MORE
Do you see this record store that the Eagles Of Death Metal are playing as a courtesy to their fans...for free? Take a good look...especially at the crowd...I imagine that in about two years you will be begging to have that many people come to watch you play...in fact I'd bet that you couldn't PAY that many people to come watch you play...please just go away quietly now and we will call the whole thing even....please?
Sincerely
Planet Earth... MORE
Reported on Nov. 25 on Blabbermouth.net :
Eagles of Death Metal appear to have been removed from the Guns N´Roses tour after only one show due to an overwhelmingly poor reception the band got from the GN'R audience during Eagles' tour opener.
According to several fans who attended last night's (Nov. 24) Guns N´Roses concert at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio (also featuring Sebastian Bach and Suicide Girls), people were booing throughout Eagles' hour-long set... MORE
ok, by some stroke of fate I stumbled across eagles of death metal and now find myself with an entire album. from what I've gathered, eagles are a bunch of guys from a variety of mainstream bands that got together to revel in their own mediocrity... it's hilarious. The album (peace love death metal) was produced in something like 3 days and it kinda shows... but that's not the point... the point is this, there's a track called "whorehoppin' (shit, goddamn)" that everyone sh...
