Death Cab For Cutie revealed plans for a short U.S. tour this fall, following their string of gigs overseas. The band is still supporting their late spring/early summer album "Narrow Stairs", and will touch down in nine American cities. While I said I am a cat person (see previous post), truth be told, there is a dog in my life. Her name is Lola, a black and white rat terrier/chihuahua mix. She is my brother's dog, and she comes over to the house quite frequently. The Voodoo festival has revealed its full lineup for the October 26-28 get together in New Orleans. ...that the new Death Cab album is just a total pop nugget from start to finish, albeit a nugget with more than a little bitterness right there at the end. This though, is like an outtake from Pet Sounds. Good shit. Surprising. It makes me smile everytime I hear it. Come to think of it, Brian Wilson is all over this record, in all his shimmering sixties faded pop glory.
