It has been a while since I have really gotten excited for a record release. In fact when I was asked to make a list of my favorite records of 2008, I put Against Me! at the top of that list even though New Wave came out in 2007. I don't know if I have become more selective in my old age, but it seems there has not been an album this year to really grab my ear to make me listen. I was excited for the release of Alkaline Trio's latest album, and today was the day it came ou... MORE
Is there a better holiday? Let's see... New Year's - flushing the old crap - hoping the new crap will be better President's day - I feel cheated, I don't work for the Gov't or a bank... Columbus day - the world looks flat from here Valentines day - unfulfilled promise becomes dreaded expectation Memorial day - remembering the dead and fallen is not a celebration 4th of July - relatives mooch and filth up the place. 1 day off work is just taunting Labor day - s... Attention moggers, the state of Minnesota currently needs your help in the finding of fellow mogger Rawkkiddoh. He was last seen coming home today from work, and after that his where abouts remain a mystery. He was last seen wearing a tee-shirt, grey shorts and tan flip flops. Rawkkiddoh is 5'10", has brown hair, brown eyes and seems to be drawn to any sort of store that sells music. Here is a recent picture of Rawkkiddoh. From what we have heard from police, Rawkkiddo... Today I was going to head out to my first live show in months. It may have even been a year, I am not really sure. I guess the reason for my departure from live shows has been a direct result of having a young boy at home. A lot of things have been put on the shelf as of late, and heading out to see live music seems to have really taken a hit. Tonight Alkaline Trio was playing a free show, a free show with the Enjoi skate team in tow. I was more than excited about seeing t... MORE

So here is starts my moaning about the weather... ok today isn't all that bad, it's just that I know I have a couple of months of sweat ahead of me, constant brow wiping, consumption of water and these days I can also look forward to a couple of months of constant explaining the reality of vomit inducing headaches caused by Air Conditioning Units along with their faint chemical smell is poison to me...So for today I give you my songs with the word poison in them list....... It is Sunday night and for the first time in a long time I have no school work to do. This is a big event for me, usually my Sunday nights are busy with correcting papers, lesson planning and filling out my weekly progress reports. This Sunday is different and I know tomorrow morning I will not have to wake up at my usual time in order to go into work. I spent my Sunday night catching up on music, and of course catching up on MOG. Like I said before, this almost feels new ... MORE
Some might say (& trust me, they do) that I have a bit of a music problem. My fellow Moggers will understand that I just love music! I consider myself a collector. I cannot & will not purchase music from iTunes unless an album is physically unable to be purchased elsewhere. I need my tangible evidence; liner notes, pictures, CD case, track list, etc. Plus, I think my large wall of 1,500+ CDs is quite beautiful! New music this week: Band of Horses - Cease to Be...
