It's so refreshing to be turned on to new music in unsuspecting ways. In this case, I was introduced to the band Loney, Dear a month ago, by a podcast that I rarely actually listen to. This little gem of a song, called "I Am John" instantly jumped out at me, and you all probably know the rest. Step one, listen to the song incessantly. Step two, seek out the album _Loney, Noir_. Three, listen to the album incessantly, on a grander scale. Step 1a,2a,3a: the whole time thinking "I gotta Blog this...."
and then, you find them doing a stealth performance for La Blogotheque, and nearly fall over.

It's a bit soft for me, but it's very pretty.
Also, I love everything I've seen off of blogotheque - it's all so crisp looking and beautiful.

Holy Crap. If the song wasn't gorgeous enough on its own....I accidentally made it better (at least in my mind). I clicked play on the embedded video to give it a listen, and I immediately double clicked on the video so I could watch it full screen. It didn't make it full screen but just launched it in a new tab, so I just started watching it there, not realizing your mog was still singing at me. It sounded a little daunting at first, with all these voices singing and guitars playing and tambourines...tamboruining...sort of like a schizophrenic round of sorts. But the more I listened, the greater the sound became. And then it wonderfully faded just like it came. You should give it a try. Great song on its own, by the way. I would like to see what the rest of the album sounds like...Multipy???
