Edvard Munch

After a week from hell that included the death of both a computer and an external hard drive (thus obliteration of massive amounts of music and photos), impossible work deadlines, and an emergency root canal (owww), I know I do. Fortunately my favorite cover at the mo' takes all that and turns it into something that makes - at the very least - my ears feel good ... Here is Les Thugs take on Dead Kennedys' "Moon Over Marin" (even if DK weren't your cuppa tea, I think this one's a keeper).

Angsty contributions welcomed!

damn, E! I was wondering where you were at! Did you get a new computer? what happened to the old comp? Shit, I'm so afraid of losing my tunes I've got to get a backup system this week. Let me know if you need anything, I'd give you access to my collection but I don't know how to do that.

A quick news tidbit for any Tindersticks fans out there ... the group has recently released a short film via Beggars Banquet in promotion for their wonderful new album The Hungry Saw, featuring commentary from singer Stuart Staples about the history of the band joined with choice snippets from the record. It's a nice little short for those already acquainted with them, and for fans-to-be who are unfamiliar with Tindersticks' moody/jazzy/loungy/mysterious "chamber pop," it should give your ears a chance to find out what they've been missing. I'm unable to embed the vid, but follow --> this link and you'll be on your way (and along with the track above there's another great one that Dachmo posted here).

'Course I can't leave without posting one of my favorite Tindersticks' songs. It's from 1999, but there are still times when this will be stuck in my head for weeks ... it has been solidly rooted in there for the past several. Enjoy, peeps...

... and a warm welcome back to all our moggily friends returning to the fold. You were sorely missed!
