Drew Wackerman sat down with the Shiny and talked about  drumming, punk and how he'll be playing with Tenacious D this summer as they open for Metallica. Yes, the D.

Enjoy,

Man, this reminds me that I REALLY haven't listened to new Bad Religion in ages. Which is weird, because Bad Religion is one of my favorite punk bands of all time. I guess I've been slipping alot lately. The last time I heard them, Bobby Schayer was still on the skins, and Brooks was with ST.

They're still excellent live. No matter what the combination of performers.

By the way, I spoke with the Euro Epitaph boss about Mr Brett, and she  says that even though he does studio work with BR, he almost never plays with the band anymore. However, the last time BR was in Amsterdam, Brett happened to be attending a conference and surprised the band with a two note, a la White Stripes in Canada, move. He grabbed a guitar, strummed twice, and left. If you blinked, you'd have missed it.

Boyfriend/Girlfriend 2 piece bands are awesome. Drums and synth keyboards bands are even awesome-r. So fun. Have a listen, y'all.

Are they really BF/GF? Fun live. You'll be in a good mood after seeing them, even if you're frowning through the whole show (which isn't really possible)

Hey Gang, Sharon's a talker. A singer first and foremost. Yet she shares so much in fifteen minutes, from Kanye to ?uestlove to Lou Reed to Steve Buscemi to Mickey Mouse, I recommend stretching first. Enjoy and spread the word,

heh Does so much work that she forgets? Spoken like a true burn-out. She's still badass, though. :)

No doubt. Someone had to fill (or try to fill) James Brown's shoes.
