Back in the 1950s & 1960s, top acts would often record cover versions of current or recent top hits by other acts, but until now it didn't occur to me that this phenomenon may have ended then. It's common for top acts to record covers of _old_ hits_ these days, but it's hard to think of top acts recording covers of _new_ or _recent_ hits these days, so this video is a surprise.
Thanks for posting this! I have to say it made me think of the articles written lately in which the authors say that indie rock has banished all Black influences. After hearing them botch the last few lines of Ben E. King's "Stand By Me," I can see why they might avoid Black influences - because they can't do them justice :) I did enjoy this though! The only other example I can think of is Tegan & Sara's indie cover of Rihanna's "Umbrella," which can be found on YouTube.
ATHENS, Greece (CNN) -- The Greek government declared a state of emergency for the entire country on Saturday after forest fires killed at least 41 people as they swept across the south of the country.
Unofficial death tolls reported by local media are closer to 50.
"All regions of the country are declared in a state of emergency in order to mobilize all means and forces to face this disaster," Greek Prime Minister Costas Karamanlis said in an address to the nation.

I'm sure glad you were inspired to post this. I'd never heard it before and I'm diggin' it right away. Seems it ends too soon. But the best ones always do.
Sorry the mp3 upload was too short. It was the only one I could get to upload. Psapp has such a great sound. I also have a weakness for Los Lobos singing I Wan'na Be Like You from Jungle Story.
