"When your day is long and the night The night is yours alone and I don't know what you mean to me but I want to turn you on, turn you up, figure you out, I want to take you on Don't let yourself go, 'cause everybody cries and everybody hurts, sometimes ... they say fool might be my middle name But I'd be foolish not to say If you think you've had too much of this life Well hang on These words, 'You will be mine.' These words, 'You will be mine.' all the time. oh"
I know, it almost sounds right. In fact, if you look at every other measure, it is right. It's two different songs.
Sorta.
It's actually just one song... with two different sets of lyrics... by the same band... on consecutive albums...
It befuddled me back when it came out, and it still does to this day.
Try it yourself. On one music device, cue up Everybody Hurts. On a second device, Strange Currencies. While the latter has a slightly higher tempo, and is played on an electric guitar instead of a piano, they are pretty much the same.
I love these guys, but what gives?

That is a little mind blowing. And weird.
