WHERE MUSIC IS WORTH MORE THAN MONEY

According to Gnarlsbarkley.com, the band's official website, Gnarls Barkley has scheduled "The June Residency Series," a set of intimate shows in London and Paris, for June 12-18. The shows will feature a core lineup of artist/producer Danger Mouse, vocalist Cee-Lo, and multi-instrumentalist Josh Klinghoffer, playing rare minimalist versions of popular Gnarls songs.

"Before we get into our summer festival schedule, we wanted to get closer to our biggest fans," said a spokesperson for Gnarls. "When Gnarls plays live, they usually go full-tilt, with costumes and sometimes even spaceships. These performances will expose all the nerves and heart behind that, and reveal the essence of the songs."

The duo are touring in support of their sophomore release The Odd Couple (Atlantic), which was released in March of this year.

Apple Store SoHo, NYC June 10 AT 7PM.

Ah, Cee-Lo and Danger Mouse back in action. Gotta love it. Wish I could be there...

Isn't Cee-Lo doing Kung Fu Fighting for the Kung Fu Panda movie? I didn't much appreciate the fact that they scrapped all of Carl Douglas' original lyrics (excepting the chorus), but I guess they just wanted it to fit the movie.
