MUSIC SIGNPOSTS ON THE WEB'S LONELY ROAD

(47)

Common's new album Finding Forever is coming out in a week or two and with that, I kind of got the urge to listen to some old-school Common.

A lot of people's only choice for older Common is the classic album Resurrection, but I myself didn't get into Common until after that album came out.

That's why I'm putting up a track from One Day It'll All Make Sense. It's an interesting album because it's the first album where Common raps under that name (as opposed to Common Sense) and it's the last album where No I.D. and Dug Infinite handle most of the production.

Even though I think Common and Kanye are kindred spirits, I really wonder what Common would sound like under a No I.D. beat now.

Anyway, check out one of my favorite tracks from One Day It'll All Make Sense

Awww, man! That just took me BACK! Yeah, I'm gonna have to break this CD out too. Though I'm one of those Resurrection lovers, One Day... was a great album also.
