I bought only one CD today and to my surprise, it wasn't Kanye or 50...

It was Animal Collective. Their new album, Strawberry Jam, also came out today.

How the hell did that happen?

Well, I started getting into Animal Collective last week and heard their new album. I'm really liking it and I decided to add that to the albums I was going to buy today (the others being Kanye and The Go! Team).

The store I work at is right next to Borders. On my lunch break, I went there to see what they had. Their price for Kanye's album was more than I wanted to spend (as much as I love Kanye, I'm not spending $15 on his album). So, thinking that I would stop by Best Buy after I got off work, I left Kanye on the shelf.

Then, I went looking for The Go! Team and couldn't find it anywhere. When I looked it up on Title Sleuth, it told me it was "likely in store."

However, I saw Animal Collective's new album sitting in a easy-to-access display at a reasonable price. So, I bought it.

I didn't get off work until almost an hour later than I was supposed to, and since my Dad needed the car to go to school, my trip to Best Buy was squashed for today.

Animal Collective is an acquired taste (Lord knows how I ended up liking their stuff) but hopefully, you'll enjoy this track from Strawberry Jam:
