MOG MOG

MUSIC SIGNPOSTS ON THE WEB'S LONELY ROAD

Who'd have thought that one day I'd become a serious fan of a group that once looked like this:

Not that looks matter, or anything.

I honestly believe that at times, Steely Dan represent ultimate perfection in music as I have known it since I was born. Sounds like an exaggeration, but I feel that way about a lot of what I listen to, so the claim might have "less unique value" than you'd think. Still, I think it's a good way to phrase it when it comes to songs like "Time Out of Mind" or "West of Hollywood" and the grip of their arrangements on my meaty neck. In fact I found myself making a practically orgasmic moan listening to the instrumental mid-section on "Time Out of Mind" last night. Perhaps this is more information than I should be giving but I'm not cutting MOG any slack. This is a free world.
