This article is pretty good, but the best part is at the end, when the author sums up as-close-to-exactly-as-anyone's-got-so-far how I feel about the album and why it's such a unique listen: "disturbingly perfect and relentlessly pathetic."

That's a perfect review, they really "get it" about The Dan. It took them over three years of fighting with the label (and their own lack of interest) to get that album out.
On another note, I'm on a quest to determine which esoteric sci-fi book was the basis of the song "Sign In Stranger". Or did they just make that story up?

I am sure the Shoreline show was amazing. They always put on a great show, They just played Vegas and I was a day late and a roulette spin short of going.... I hope they come back around soon. I have yet to hear this new CD, there is so much I want to get lately, its makin my head spin :)
