This is Broken Social Scene, kicking ass and taking names while headlining at Guelph's hillside fest in '03

Even though Hillside had been around for 20 or so years at this point, this was the year that turned it from a well known festival, to a world renowned festival.

There is no doubt that Broken Social Scene played a big role in that turning point. That night they played their hearts out, playing a mix of songs off of 'You Forgot It In People' as well as songs that wouldn't find themselves on disc for another 2 years. Simply put, the energy was palpable.

The following year, Hillside would sell out in a fraction of the time it took to sell out in 2003.
