So, I'm going to see Sean Lennon this Friday at what used to be called Irving Plaza. It's now called The Fillmore New York at Irving Plaza. Apparently Live Nation is turning the Fillmore name into a brand like they've done w/ House of Blues. From what I understand, there will be changes ala a greeter at the door (???) and other traditional nuances that makes the Fillmore in San Fran "special." Either way, here is an article I found on brooklynvegan.com about the new name.... MORE
"When I was 15, a cabdriver asked me if I was Paul McCartney's daughter," the 31 year old Lennon explains. "That really blew my mind." He went on to explain "I don't have any perspective on a life without people freaking out about my parents,... MORE

There's an interview with Sean Lennon posted today over at the Star Wars site - professing his love for "The Empire Strikes Back" and Yoda in particular.
Says Lennon: "The scene where Yoda describes the Force to Luke is the closest thing I can remember to a religious experience in my childhood," and "The music is as important as anything else in the film," Lennon says. "The music is its own character. Whenever it appears, it creates a certain impression, and is propelli... MORE
This new album was inspired by the pain Sean felt when he found out his best friend was having an affair with his girlfriend, then he died a few months later in a motorcycle accident before Sean could forgive him.
The kid is a genius.
Here's the new video for Dead Meat by Sean Lennon, the first single to be taken from 'Friendly Fire'.
I really like this song, sounds very Jon Brion-ish. Its so gentle and beautiful, and the video really accompanies it well. He does sound like a nasally Elliott Smith but there is also something about his voice that is so airy and wistful, and really grabs you. Thank god he doesnt sound like his mum!

Well, it looks like things have turned around within the past half-day, for me. I'm not feeling bad about the aforementioned Anthony and Michael incidents anymore.
There's this guy in my U.S. History class, Erik. Two weeks ago, Ms. Loflin assigned us 'permanent partners' for the rest of the year, and put me in a group with him to do some dumb game. Anyway, him and I have been talking since and he went to lunch with my friends and I yesterday.
I really like him a lot. In addit... MORE
First post, hello.
Yeah, so I'm totally in love with this song.
& I wanted an excuse to post something.
It's actually the only song of his I've really listened to.
But from what I've heard of the rest of the album, it sounds quite good.
I've been listening to a lot of Dashboard Confessional lately too.
Mostly the So Impossible EP.
I think that's my favorite.
Just got the most recent Dashboard CD, so I'll definitely have to listen to that when I get the chance.
