I heard about Clap Your Hands Say Yeah from a friend and now I hear them periodically in Coffee Shops around town. Innovative sound especially the use of the traditional organ sound in The Skin Of My Yellow Country Teeth. Click the link above to hear it.

Clap Your Hands Say Yeah are heading off to Hollywood. The Brooklyn buzz band has won over the hearts of not only us, their adoring fans, but some major movie execs. Turns out CYHSY postponed several (5!) Midwest tour dates to jet off to Tinseltown so they could appear in The Great Buck Howard, alongside Oscar winner Tom Hanks, John Malkovich, Emily Blunt and Hank’s son, Colin Hanks. And, how cute... Hanks & Hanks get to play house in the flick, as the father son duo will... MORE

"What ARE you talking about?" I had no clue why he was asking me to clap my hands..."Clap your hands. You haven't heard them?" ... MORE

I also got "Some Loud Thunder" from Clap Your Hands Say Yeah...It's BRILLIANT!!! It's really quite fantastic. Let's see, oh I got The Information by Beck and I am not impresse... MORE

So I just saw on pitchfork that Clap Your Hands Say Yeah are playing nashville in April.
I think I must go.
but at the moment, breakfast is more pressing...
You know , the new Clap Your Hands Say Yeah! is quite good , it is quirky , groovy , fresh and refreshing . i really enjoy the singers voice and the band has a really unique way of building up then tearing down. In fact the more I listen , the more epic this album sounds. Its full of big sounds without sounding pushy or over produced. Songs like "Yankee go home" and "Satan said dance" have a jangly kind of vibe , and the song like "Emily Jean Stock" and others have a more ... MORE
