Bright Eyes AKA Conor Oberst is releasing the first solo album he's done under his own name in 13 years. The album, Conor Oberst, is due out August 5. Here's the info direct from Merge Records, the label releasing the album: This recording was made in Tepoztlán, Morelos, México during the months of January and February 2008. Hey all, I just I'd share with you my thoughts on who I think took the cake for album of the year in 2007. Although there were a lot of releases this year by almost all of my favorite artists I think there was one that totally blew any of them out of the water and caught me off guard as well.
