Haven't listened to Devendra Banhart (one of my all time favorite musicians) all that much lately. That's a crying shame considering his music consistently blows me away. I'm halfway through Rejoicing in the Hands, and I really should never have put this album down.
If you enjoy authentic, emotional music, pick any of his albums up. They're all equally amazing.
All I need now is a gram, a light, and some beautiful spring weather. A season of crappy New Jersey winter can kill you if you aren't careful. It's not like Colorado or Minnesota winter. Those places are beautiful when cold. Jersey is gray in all seasons.
It's about time I got out of here.

My Trusted MOGs
I love this record, too. IMO, the best thing he's done yet, though he's done some other very good things.
Hang in there with the weather. It'll be spring down there pretty soon and everything will seem different.
My Trusted MOGs
I think Rejoicing is my favorite too, but Smokey is mind-blowing. It's such an incredible progression for him. Time will tell.
