I've been quite lately.... at least I feel like I have.... so here are a few thoughts on the music that I have been hearing lately....
The Thermals... I saw them live last week. they were great. I wanted them to have a fuller feel, but their sound isn't all that full...
The Big Sleep... the sexy bass player aside (and she had a voice that was amazing, and under used) opened for the Thermals and while they had some great 70's Sabbath like riffs, the tunes were too long and undefined for me...
Remy Zero 'Save Me'... ok ok I have been watching Smallville, and hearing this tune way to often... it's not bad, it's just really big with out any real feeling... or at least that's what my brain has been saying..
The Stooges- The Weirdness.... here is the weirdest thing about their album... I can't get excited enough to play it all the way through...
Cab, When Will She Be Loved, and every other middle of the road crappy ALT-MOR tune that I have to endure from the muzak at work... stop it already... I can live with out hearing 'My Music' at work.... just stop... you are eating away at my brain and robbing me of music moments that I will never regain..
The Thermals... did I mention how killer they are and that you should check out their current tour....
Neko Case... she's touring as well and I should figure out if I am going to go and see the show...
Oi... back to more Smallville or Battle Star....

One of my personalized radio stations keeps telling me that I should like The Thermals. I think they will grow on me sooner or later. Need to hear more than one of their songs at a time.
