MOG MOG

WHERE MUSIC IS WORTH MORE THAN MONEY

Artist:
Album:
Track:

I'm posting about experimental folk. Tunng from the UK, in particular.

Though I have little to nothing to do with this genre, I can't help it, I like their song Bullets so much and it has a beautiful new video!

(maybe I like Bullets 'cause it's not _that_ folky? I wonder)

Speaking of Tunng beautiful videos, It's Because...We've Got Hair:

Troy, why I oughta. I'll even ask Lizzie to help me!

Dale, I'm with ya. I guess it's that it's not the typical kind of folk.

Bullets is nice and catchy. I think you're right it doesn't seem _that_ folky. I'd listen either way.

But I felt like I was 10 years old in sunday school listening to that 2nd tune. Hehe

Folk is not a scary word, just an FYI for you all, you'd probably be surprised on some of the artists you listen to who could be considered folk ( I happen to be a big fan of folk, some folk not ALL folk)

Beth, it's just a genre I don't like much. Maybe some artists I like have songs with folk elements, but that is as far as I can go. Do love me! Let's hold hands and read our neon bibles ;)

Bloody Hippies, you'll want us to listen to the grass growing between your toes as you put flowers in your hair and then dance naked around some sacred stones on a lay line next. (...then again)

Hahaha, it really must be the end of the world if you're spouting the wonders of a folk oriented group. Are you running a temperature niece? I do like both songs actually but I've never been opposed to folk myself. I do like the vids too. I now have R.E.M.'s "It's The End Of The World As We Know It(And I Feel Fine)" on my brain from your title. I was going to post it here but alas I only have it on vinyl, sigh . . . (I feel so old now).

Neill, hahahaha not too shabby after all, eh? :)

Oh uncle A, I think it's time for my Meds... Old? Vinyl should make you feel kinky, dearest..... ;)

Mikey, I can't decide if that's good or bad... :)

Ty! I now EMCD people at genres I'm not crazy about. Dalefix (link) must have given me the good magic potion this time.

soulrocket, thank you! I feel so much better now :)
